Jet & Arc Motion
« on: August 04, 2016, 11:25:11 AM »
This is our first year install of the 46 GUTS (day 3) and I have a question on adjusting to jet and arc motion from a wing (the No. 1 receiver) who would be covered by the CB. The shark is covering the TE to the wing side, so the questions is does the CB go with the motion or does the shark? I have attached a diagram if it would help explain it better.

Personally, I'd want the corner to go with the motion. It lessens the chances of confusion on a switch in coverage.

Motion = stay with your man.

The arc motion walks the man covering that back to linebacker alignment...the jet motion results in a mirrored flat chase.

Go back to the GUTS MANUAL and check it out, its outlined and diagrammed in there nicely.

Thanks to both of you for the response. That is what I thought, but we moved the CB into a linebacker position and I wanted to double check. We have our jamboree this weekend and it will be interesting to see the 46 GUTS in action.
