Omg. This play can be devestating to teams that bring the house on 3rd and long or 4th and long. We're seeing almost all 6-2 defenses vs our DW. And we have NOMO 4 GO in. It has worked both times we ran it huge. So the way I see it is you put 2 TES and 2 wings in streaks. That draws both cbs and both lbs into coverage and the safety who is already deep. A total of 5 covering 4 if they cover it right. If the 6 linemen are let in and the FB catches it there is literally nobody for like at least 25-30 yds upfield.

Okay so coaching points on screen? Zero line splits doesn't exactly lend itself to letting kids in. So do you tell your line to expand on the snap and simply let linemen stream in? Do they block for a one one thousand count them release their defender into the backfield? How far does the QB backpedal?and the last question is how do you tell the line that the FB has caught it and they can start running upfield to block? FB says "GOOOO"?

Is your QB under center?

Is it a shovel pass?  Lob pass?

Yes. Under center. He opens to motion and I have him dropping straight back. 10-15 yds depending on pursuit and lobbing it to four back who is back to back with center.

We repped screen last night. Coaching staff was like holy crap where'd you come up with that? I said Steve calande. Lol

We're seeing a lot of cover 1 and 6-2 defenses. So i combined NOMO 4 go with 4 screen. Most man schemes I've seen would have corners covering my wings and lbs covering my streaking TES. And they'll bring six. Five drop into deep coverage and 6 in backfield. When the screen is caught there really ain't anyone to block for 20-25 yds. We're gonna run it this weekend against a team were gonna destroy. They're div 2 and were div 1. They're bad judging from the film. Figured best time to use it.

Why waste it on a terrible team? I would save it for a game that is going to be a battle. No since wasting on a team you are going to blow out.

Because we only have 18 kids. There is no way to test things full squad 11 on 11 with our normal team. And since our opponents are playing the same time as us were not expecting anyone filming. Week 6 is when we'll need this play.

Well in our league, every game is filmed and put on HUDL. So no hiding anything, lol. Hopefully you are right and they won't have anyone filming your game.

Ran it once today. 80yd TD. VS their 5-3. Only one kid had a chance at getting my fullback. He grabbed at the ball. My FB shrugged him
Off and went 80 the the house. Crazy.

Great results what are the assignments details for the FB and the line?

I combined it with our NOMO 4 Go pass play. Basically 4 verticals by the wings and TES. The new play is NOMO 4 Go 4 Screen. TES and wings go vertical. On the snap the line expands horizontally to open the gaps and merely "chip" the entire D line and incoming DEs and LBs. the 4 back starts the play in "bear" (behind right guard offset). On snap he pretends to pass block. But again merely chips or hands to pads any defenders. As the defenders roll through the 4 back rotates around back to back with the center. Basically I told mine to watch the defenders chase the QB. This wheels him around. After expanding my line compresses again foot to foot. The QB backpedal still he's threatened. Usually 10-12 yds. Then lofts it over their heads. 4 back catches it and yells GO as he turns to run. Line takes off in unison to mow down and clean up defenders. It worked flawlessly.

I got to tell you...

if it weren't for the passing game from the double wing...wed not be winning the way we are. We have won 11 of last 14 games taking down some big dogs in the process and much of that is due to taking some downfield shots on first or second down...I always second guess myself...until we hit one...the screen off four verticals makes perfect sense.

We see a shitload of man coverage and 6-2 defenses. With 4 go combined with screen they drop 5 and rush 6. There's nobody left. Huge yardage every time.
