backside hinge protection
« on: June 02, 2015, 07:56:46 AM »
certainly in the pro I spread offense oline coaches/oc's spend a lot more time on steps in pass pro..

we call our protection for power pass "brown" which is good god blocking to the right and "hinge blocking to the left...

are we teaching the power step and kick step that spread guys teach? what are we teaching on the backside in our dw?

Coaches,

What is the steps for the backside hinge protection? On film it looks as it is a kick slide stepping with outside foot first and hinging together.
