fan tag for tighter counters
« on: July 14, 2015, 12:25:35 PM »
So some of you know that I have been scheming against a 52 front cover 2.  A pair of 4 techs, 9 techs, cover 2.  The team has been real successful verses the wing t by crashing the de straight down the line whenever there is any motion....So wherever the motion comes from the de to that side crashes straight down the line.  On film this has disrupted  strong side plays and anything coming back to the motion side such as counters or counter xx....  They also send the corner to that same side (the corner where the motion started--yes both de and corner come) and the corner is a bit wider and as the corner blitzes he is controlled and thinking boot/reverse...Now the wing t motion is a bit longer than ours so I am not sure they will be able to crash the corner....but I am positive they will crash the end.

Ok so how about ray 41 counter trap xx fan.....ray 23 counter fan....and of course the same to either side....now the fan tag would tell the play side te to fan out on the 9 tech and everyone else would block their rule

ok so ray 41 counter trap xx fan

playside we would double the nose, ot would block gap, down backer and pin the lb inside.....te would fan on the de who would be crashing and the 4 tech would be kicked and the bs tackle would s till lead up backer to safety......

wing counters would be the same deal......

what say you????

I say a ray 329 reverse would be an instant TD.
