ok and of course our coaching point for the wing on a reach block is to "lose ground" to gain ground?  get depth...first  step is back?  how do you coach it?

Only if the corner is crossing the line of scrimmage on the snap.

I remember watching a youth game in the fall on a Sunday where teams played their corners all the way out in no man's land.  I am talking really wide like close to the sideline.  Apparently for contain because sweep is  such a prominent play in youth football.  Anyone see this?  seems like power sweep verse a 50 would be easy pickings--easy kickout on the corner.........thoughts?

same motion.

we teach patience and gliding on the back of the qb who is our alley blocker on sweep. The fb is going to kickout on the corner 99/100 so we don't spend much time on reading that any more.

we also like the wing to cut back behind the downfield pizza block if they can.

steve,  would you say that the wing is going to maybe take an extra step here since the qb's footwork is not the same as power?
