the unbalanced loaded front
« on: March 21, 2015, 09:01:49 PM »
Many teams, at times, played us with 8 men on the los.  let's just say we have an eight man front where there is an overload to one side.

example: lets say to the right side of the offense we have a head up nose a 2 tech, a 3 tech, a 7 tech and a 9 tech. we call power sweep.  our rules would leave one guy unblocked.........how are we coaching the o line in our individual period to deal with this?

That's interesting, coach. They had a 2 tech and a 3 tech to the same side with your compressed splits?  What did they have backside? Sounds like you need a superman block from your PST, OR run 36/27 Power to that look. If you're stuck in a play without the ability to audible out, maybe install some sort of a "stay" tag or line call for the PSG vs. that look.

I had the same thought about a 2 and 3 with zero splits. I also wasn't sure if the post was a question or a riddle.
