Anything I can do?
« on: March 05, 2014, 08:32:11 PM »
Might be a weird question, but is there anything I can do during my flag football season to get my kids ready for tackle, using singlewing stuff. We have 7 on 7, and was planning on using the flag season to practice up one of my projected centers on the direct snap (snapping is not required in or flag league) There's a no rush rule (defensively you cant cross LOS until offense hands the ball off) The "QB" can not just rush the ball, there has to be some sort of handoff. There are only 2 runs allowed per set of downs.
Just trying to think how "best" to prep some kids for a UBSW type of offense now in preparation for the fall.

Last year I ran DC-wing T and used the actions and movements of the offense verbatim, minus oline and it worked great.
