practice drills



hey i'm coaching 5,6 and 7 year olds, just wondering if anyone has any drills i could use to teach fundamentals.

If you access to equipment such as blocking sheilds or tackling dummies, use these to show the kids proper technique for blocking and tackling. Use small cones to represent the offensive line and corresponding holes for your back field.

I still run an angle tackle station in over 90% of my practices. Rarely do I go full speed. I teach wrap, lift and the most important part- drive; usually at half speed.
