I was in Jacksonville at team camp. Funny how that works, I even offered for you to stop by on your drive down. We had a great Camp, & that had to come before the clinic.

There are no excuses in football, Chris.

I was hoping they had a day care there but that was a no go.  ???
My son probably would have liked it, I learned from his mom that he likes to draw football plays on the back of all of his home work.

Yeah, none of these are close for me. Orlando is an hour and a half. Tampa is almost 3. Jeff, surprisingly to some I assume, is speaking on spread. We are very basic from spread but it is VERY effective. I think a few coaches from our org will go to Nike. Not sure why they didn't go to Glazer.

I and a lot of my coaches applied for the free youth grant on the glazier website and not a single one of us got a reply from anyone.  By the time someone posted here about the certificate to print out a lot of us couldn't get off work.

Regardless I and my coaches will be at the Nike Clinic, Fri, Sat (after spring games) and Sun.  Hope to see you there.

I had a similar issue. But I just showed up and filled out a new ap. Then they gave me an id.

Chris, I used to show up and give them my Pop Warner ID card.  No pre-registration necessary.  Never had an issue.

Your org doesn't have coaches' ID cards?

No. Maybe a badge but no card like PW. Not required to be on sideline.

I could maybe go for giving a talk or two, but I'm certainly not going to pursue it.

That could be a bad thing.

Having heard Michael give a clinic presentation, it is very entertaining. It's also quite enlightening, he give considerable information on how to teach. I really enjoyed his work.

Joe

I completely agree. Every time we get on the phone....its a Clinic for me and a very enlightening one.

I don't think many realize how long he has coached and the levels he has coached at. WAY more experience teaching than most of us.

When someone coaches at a top level regardless of the sport, they must have effective ways to teach. Michael is well able to communicate this, see he is more then just a Wise A$$. He is still a W A, heck that's what I like.

And that's the key.  Knowing how to teach is far more important than knowing football.  I got parents in the stands that "know football."  So what?  A good coach knows how to teach.

Funny how when I was in Florida last year for DC's clinic, that all of these Florida guys were suddenly out-of-town.  Hmmm...

--Dave
Honestly, that was the single worst week of my life. I was in town but I wasn't going anywhere.
