Can you explain the difference for the Sam backer in the Gambler vs. the Guts?

From the reading I've done, the only difference is that SAM or SHARK in GUTS plays the #2 eligible on the right side instead of looking for the TE and switching sides. Gambler would have him declaring a side and then Will adjusting to him.
It reminds me of some posts here that Mahonz and others were suggesting for the Little dudes in the 46.
I would like to try it out this year with a new group of 7-9 yr olds. I was thinking of mixing in a little GAM with it so we can have 4 mpps go in at one time for a few plays or just bring in a mpp at FS and have him in the GAMBLER calls.
The other adjustment I was toying with was to use the FS as the adjuster for trips instead of moving the bs LB over.
Mahonz was using his FS as another LB so they just bumped over to cover and never crossed midline of offense.

46 Gambler= sam is the first adjuster, sets the strength of the defense by flip flopping to the te or the strong side #2 vs no te sets.

46 Guts- shark/wolf are both adjusters, they both learn to play 40 tech, or on the 7 tech on the te, or vs slots.  Only flip flop vs trips and quads.

much more flexible and easier to place athletes and easier to develop depth. easier alignment rules too.
