2017 Season

Monday is the first day of practice. Things go very fast from then. Our Red/Grey game is the 11th, the 12th is Referee's scrimmage & games start the 18th.

Offensively, we have answers for all the questions we had prior to camp. We have found depth & the people in new places are doing well. One sophomore O Lineman excelled, any other year he would be a starter. We also found our big back.

Defensively, we are still a work in progress. The good thing is the coaches are working very hard at it.

good luck this year coach!  i haven't been able to volunteer on my son's team, and due to the time commitment involved, i decided not to take a varsity position, so i plan on living vicariously through you guys this season.

Here is Counter/Read. This is one the reason our defense says we cheat. QB reads the ILB if he follows the pulling Guard we duck in where he left.

it is 'cheating'.

some famous coach said something along the lines of 'i don't want a fair fight on Friday Night, I want an advantage'.

he further went on to say every good coach is doing the same.

so when i say 'cheating' i guess i really mean good coaching that gives your guys an advantage-within the rules.

It's all about having multiple answers for us. We read the front side, the backside, & the ILB's. We read with pulls, & with out.

Red/Grey game tonight, then a 1/2 tomorrow against another team. Starting to look better on Defense, we defend the run much better. Should be an interesting weekend.

Played a 1/2 looked sloppy. We trailed 14-0, came back to win 28-14.

Defense played well, they gave up 2 short drives after turnovers. Offense was slow getting started. We played without our starting RB & top WR. The QB had a very good day.

The video is all EZ shots & terrible. They missed half the plays. Sorry nothing to post that anyone could see. Most of the plays are out of the shot.
