Teams there were from Tampa & Jacksonville area. Our O Line dominated the camp, so much so that all 5 were offered by the host school.

Film wasn't great but I will try to post a few clips over the next few days.

That's awesome Joe. I remember a while back when this group was young and you said you had big hopes for them in a few years. Looks like they are starting to reach their potential.
Did everybody come back healthy?

A couple of minor dings but everyone should be fine.

Offensively besides the line which was lights out, QB & RB excelled. The OC from the college pulled me aside & asked does he ever make a bad read? I chuckled, & said that's what 3 years of my coaching does. He oly threw 1 int out of 100 passes.

I have taken this play out of my rotation because its so dang hard for the Receiver to focus on a ball coming at him while he is coming at the ball.

Its a beautiful play. What are your coaching points?

Great to hear the O line killed it. Especially since at least 2 of them I coached at my previous org.

I have run a version of this play since the 1980's. Over the last 5 years at Lake Mary it has been a staple of our offense.
We run it many different ways, often in combination with other screens.

The issue isn't the receiver as much as the ball the QB delivers. When we had Riley(Starting QB at Memphis) even at 12 he took the skin off the receiver's palms. Our coaching point that we learned from coaching him is simple & makes the play work. Tell your QB to simply take a basket ball jump shot. The pass needs to be a catch-able ball, I am always preaching throw the ball, not on this play. Soft little jump shot & boom.

We had another play in camp where we ran Rocket left & Slow screen right & the defense ran everyone at the rocket & we hit the slow. I will see if I can find it to post.

Matt

Those ILB's were both D1 players. If you listen you can hear the Guard really thumping one of them.

C

The entire O Line was offered. I have never seen that happen.
