Bought the playbook and read it in a sitting.  I love it's simplicity and potential.
I just have to get my head around zone coverage.  It's not something I've ever been familiar with, as a player or coach.

The good thing is you can combine man and zone. The 5225 is good because it teaches your kids to be aggressive and with just a few rules, they don't have to think as much and just attack. Base 22 x is a good switch up. It gives you a solid cover 3 and changes the stunt off the 5225 look. With your age group, you can probably attack with a with a variety of cover 3 from different angles. But it is not meant to be a sit back defense and read, it is aggressive and attacking. Many teams will be unprepared for the attacking nature of the defense.

Coach Cox thanks for the 521 stack download.  Running a 33 stack tap currently but will be switching over to allow for controlled calls.  Should work great with my 10-11 yo team.  How can I get the rest of the info you mentioned in your earlier posts.  Interested in the 5225 also.  Great work!

Coach, you can email me at tccox@sbcglobal.net for the info
Thanks for the interest coach. Many coaches seem to be having fun with the system and there is great support right here on the forum.

Big things sometimes come in small packages. The 5225 is a small package that can have big results. Teach a few rules and turn the kids loose and let them have fun. The X will add a nice dimension. Have fun Coach!

Coach Don i would love to run your D but one of our best players got kicked off the team. So i dont think I have the speed to be full on pressure every play. Cant wait to get to practice to put some more in and hopefully scrimmage our 9 year old team.

Well fam have a very tough game coming up this weekend. This is a select team that have been together since flag football. They have a top kid in every position. They also run a 3 x 1 spread attack from what I heard. So send some prayers up our way. We will send the house CoxBox style and see what happens. If we win this came coaches we punched our ticket for sure. We already beaten the 2nd powerhouse in our division this weekend 14-7. Both of these teams meet in the semi finals last season. The thing that is funny is that Cox dropped the spread guide the other day and I just found out we was going to see a spread team. Wish us well coaches and I will post updates once the game is over.
