Due to the notice of a Trademark Infringement with the use of COXBOX, I am going to have to discontinue the sale of Coach Cox's Power Pistol PB for a while.  If you are interested in purchasing I would do so before the end of the week otherwise you may miss out on the opportunity to get your hands on it.  You can purchase now at the following link:

JUST RENAME IT!!! Rewrite it in your own words, draw it up yourself and voila!!!! Copy right infringement will be the real reason football dies.

I thought I read somewhere here before he'd give anyone anything if they emailed him personally.

Probably did until he found out he could make money on it.

I believe at one time he would mail out copies if you would review it and give him feed back.

Yeah, not the case here I think. He sold it but would give it away for free regularly.

Yeah, I don't think he was getting rich selling all his offense and defense stuff for $30-$40. With never even starting a website or any advertising.  Can't imagine he sold that many. And was always sharing video clips and swapping emails.

C-Rob had one of his clinics where you got all his stuff for viewing the clinic. 5 or 10 bucks I think. I have most of his offensive stuff and love it but I have not ran it.

There are plenty of videos on youtube of him installing his base offense with younger kids and high school aged kids.

you sell 100 at 20 dollars, it is 2k dollars most of us do not have. I am not arguing against his doing. Never would, never will. The copyright on football x and o's drives me insane. None of it, is ours on an individual basis. Just change the name.

From a simple playbook pov I agree. But when you look at Cisar's package I think it is different. Not that all of that info can't be found for free but that takes time and or a ton of experience. What Dave and othera offers is the knowledge of many years of experience. It is a huge advantage for a new coach to use something like Dave's system regardless if you run the offense or defense. A very large amount of time can be saved. Time is imho the most valuable resource out there and it is very finite. So if you look at it like that maybe it is worth it. Very often a youth coach volunteers because noone else would. He usually has little time to learn all that is necessary. So based on those time constraints he chooses to buy time. That is really what we are purchasing when we purchase all kinds of things.

I have seen bits and pieces of a lot of this stuff being sold. I am to cheap, but I work with guys who have this stuff. But fundamental that most of these authors are drenched in, can be found for free.
It will never save you time if you are serious about it. It takes work.

When Cox first "retired", he was prolific.  He really cranked out a ton of material, both on O and D, updated it regularly, worked with guys who were running it, and gave away most of it. He was still in the game helping out both at the HS and youth levels.

I'm guessing he finally actually retired.  Good for him.  I enjoyed meeting him at the DWS, and did get some things out of his materials that I still use.

He kind of went from giving it all away, to giving it away to those running it, to giving it away to those who were giving him feedback and working with him on it, to I'm assuming now charging for it, if it's still even out there.

It shortens the learning curve. There is much to be said for learning from others mistakes. It's not for everybody and it is not the end all be all as far as what needs to be learned. I think a good coaching mentor is the best way to learn but those are hard to find.
