Nice play, Coach! We will look to do more passing this season than in years past and this along with the flood should be nice passes to add to our playbook. I also loved the flea flicker you sent me, although I always knew it as a "hook and lateral".

You're right Coach D about the passing aspect. I was just talking with Coach Cox about more PAP this season. That was something we didn't do very well last season and something I'm going to really spend more time on. The Flea Flicker is a nice look. We practiced it last season, but in the mist of the games I always forgot to call that play. At our level I know these plays would work very well more so if you tore off a long run.

Hitch and Pitch, hook and Lateral. It is all good. Throw the ball with the kids and make it simple and short. Too many guys don't practice the pass enough and they get into games and then try to throw the ball unsucessfully. Then they say, we can't do that anyway and give up on it. If you practice the pass 10 min a day it will pay huge dividends down the road. Maybe not the 1st game but it will eventually pay off during the season. Then again, some guys just don't know how to throw the ball, Ha! My philosophy is run the Blast and throw the football. I don't care what level you coach.

One thing for sure passing is something I will show more attention to. Most youth coaches don't spend enough time on defending the pass and I need to take advantage of that. Again, PAP is something I know we need to get much better at this season.
