I have found same about the spread.
It requires more coaching and play design than ya might think
must have talent, size speed

Spread concept, although they look simple enough, are extremely coaching intensive and if you don't have the talent it becomes apparent very quickly that you should be running something else!

Dan,
Do you have any video of the play? It can work but it all comes down to the timing of the pitch.

I dont have film, thanks for the help.. For now I'm not planning on running toss from Shift. We only get 3 practices a week for 2 hours, just not enough time to spend on one play.

Thanks Dan

thats not what I was saying...Im saying they, the moderators, might as well take down the coach cox section, your not going to get the support one has come to expect here at dumcoach...Im saying run your own version, not his. Ask someone else for power pistol stuffs, coach cox aint here!  He is MIA! I think there was a couple of coaches that ran his stuff before that could help, seek them out via search on the cox section...1 or 2 of the coaches were pretty knowledgable on the system...forgot their names

OC
Durfee is the guy I would reach out to about Cox systems.

the durf...thats his name....I couldn't remember his name...that being said, didnt he stop running it as well?

Really the moderators should remove this section and give it to another its DOA!

my suggestion is a wing T section. Seriously!  Theres the DCWT section here at dumcoach but thats a specific O. Im talkin a general wing T, Delaware wing T
shotgun wing T
hybrid wing T
multiformational wingT
urban wing T (from my east coast wing T brethren)

jet series, buck series, belly series, quick series, option series all series...
from the old to the new all things wing T

Sorry, CoachOCD but i couldn't disagree more. I realize that Coach Cox hasn't been very active on the boards, hell me either for that matter, but i think there has to be a place for Coach Cox's information. As long as there are people who are asking questions they should have a place to get help and that has been Dumcoach for a lot of us for several years now. As a long time Coxboxer I will always be willing to help out in any way I can. And I'm sure Rick feels the same!

Dont get me wrong coach, I liked much of his "stuff", and he was /  is a cool guy to communicate with...Im just saying a wing T section would more than likely get a lot of traffic as where the cox threads are few and far between...and its creator is no longer here...eg its DOA

Don't think you need to close one to open another.

A Wing-T Thread would be interesting but that could be put in the "Offense: Schemes" Folder. In that thread there are Double Wing, Single Wing, T, Pistol, Spread and Option Topics and adding a Wing T section would be great there. As you may have noticed each thread in the Custom System section is dedicated to a specific coaches system, be it offense or defense. In most cases both.
