Nope,  The rifle package is unbalanced.  The base power pistol has a balanced line.  The "heavy" series is unbalanced power pistol.  I believe he is going to offer a full unbalanced playbook sooner or later.
oh OK your concidering the line soly, I was taking all 11 players into account. The example I gave was a balanced line but unbalanced backfield and incidentally the formation I listed was, afik, the base formation

2 seasons ago I ran the Rifle Package of the Power Pistol as my #1 formation. And All Power Pistol plays can be run from Rifle. Now that being said some will inevitably be run to the weak/short side of the formation. But the main play/s stays the same...as in Power Pistol - Blast/Power is the staple play, it can also be the staple in the Rifle.

Here is a video of Rifle 47 (TB) Power...our RB was only run down by the fastest kid in our league, otherwise this is 6.

coach davis, couple of quick questions.

i noticed that you pulled the bsg but didn't have the RE hinge block.  i'm still trying to decide whether to pull psg or bsg?  What do you normally do?  Also the wing didn't arc release to the OLB, it looked liked he came down to double team the end.  What that an '8' call?

What would you think about at that age group (8-11 group) implementing some pre snap shifts and even some motions.

For instance coming to the LOS everytime in a rifle look.  {my FB in a tight sniffer position for deception}.   then shifting to power pistol in the backfield.  Maybe even adding in some pre snap motion to add leverage or numbers if i don't do a full shift?

Do you still base out of Rifle?

You are correct. We noticed that our opponent would try to time up their blitzes to follow the G and so we just had the C and TE pinch down on  the bsg A gap, unless TE had a man-on-me look.

i'm still trying to decide whether to pull psg or bsg?  What do you normally do?
Normally, I pull BSG on all Power plays and Pull both PSG and BSG on all Fly plays. With the Fly Plays I use BSG as a Garbage Collector and PSG to Lead around to #1.

Also the wing didn't arc release to the OLB, it looked liked he came down to double team the end.  What that an '8' call?
Good eye! Our PSTE would report back to me on the sideline and let me know if he needed help with the DE or OLB and I would make the 8 call based on his report. That TE was simply being overwhelmed by their player and said he needed help...8 call to the rescue!

What would you think about at that age group (8-11 group) implementing some pre snap shifts and even some motions.
I have been a huge proponent of formation shifts (presnap, of course). I did that 2 seasons ago, going from Rambo (Diamond) Formation to all other formations including Rifle. Here is one of our formation shifts, from Rambo to our Bunch Right formation...

Bunch Right QB Sneak
(Don't mind the fact that the QB didn't sell the fake and read the block of the guard on the MLB)

For instance coming to the LOS everytime in a rifle look.  {my FB in a tight sniffer position for deception}.   then shifting to power pistol in the backfield.  Maybe even adding in some pre snap motion to add leverage or numbers if i don't do a full shift?
I love this idea and have used the presnap motion my entire coaching career.

2 seasons ago we did but last season the new HC decided to go more Pistol Wing T than Power Pistol or Rifle. I would love to get back to Rifle or Power Pistol but not even sure I will be coaching this upcoming season.
