why stretch and not bootleg?

Just wondering why stretch and not bootleg off power?

Power read? I think he runs it as power read. Stretch is the 2nd option off power read.

Im running it with 7 and 8 year ild and 10 and 11yr olds it will be a play call for me not a read

Stretch because you are reading the front side of power and not the backside as if you were in the gun.

Even if it not a read for the qb, you should be making the read on the sideline and figuring our what the de is doing. You make the calls based on what he is doing. The de defends power, call the stretch. He will NOT defend stretch at that age level until you call stretch. Then he gets burned and he is playing flat footed and getting yelled at by his coach for not being a super hero who can defend both. I have seen a few guys in college defend both btw. Absolutely incredible athletes. Part of how FSU beat Aurburn a few years back in the NC game. I doubt any 7yo could do it.
