blitzing into versions of the "10"_ pressure of the week 2/14/12

The attached power point shows our first base blitz into the "10" our base is the 26 we start in that look once the offensive huddle breaks. The secondary gets aligned per the rules vs split out receivers.  Vs. the offense shown in the presentation POWER I, the secondary can stay at base depths then must FLY to there guy and hit him and jam him or fly into the called "10" look once the ball is snapped.

We have 2 calls "Shift" and "fire". Shift means once the qb is under center or Set in the gun/pistol what ever we move into position.  the mike yells " AND NOW".  Fire means we will fly into the gaps we are responsible for per the call on the snap.  The secondary members not in the blitz are eyeing the man they need to cover or anticipate to cover.

In the event of motion our secondary will automatically align to where we need to be then and not when the balls snapped.

In my experience this takes a good 10 minutes to grasp and throw "what ifs" around.

Let me know what you guys think.

Enjoy!
