Day 2, 3 and 4 Install GAM
« on: April 04, 2013, 11:08:18 PM »
Guys,

Its been the same these past days but we did add pursuit drill and a formation recognition and do your job segment.

When you have kids tackle for 15 minutes, do the same 4 drills in indy then bring it all together in team thats a a large amount of reps and they get good at what they do. We are averaging 6-8 seconds per individual reps and 20 seconds for team reps ( i think we can cut some seconds off that)

Its just plain nasty.

Can you breakdown the Indy's and circuits?  I started the 10-1 installation last night and we got as far as the down lineman shin scrape, and corners finding the #1 receiver.  They are fired up to play nasty but I want a solid routine so we can focus on aggression and high reps.

Here's what we do every day

4 stations rotate every ten min

Tackling
Pursuit
Block avoidance/destruction
Turn overs

We then go to 10 min of indy work

Dbs work press on wr and te
Lbs work mirror and shopping spree
Def line works gap and air tech

Next 10 min we do GA drill or LSU drill or ten yard fight

Next day we may start with alignment adjustments

The 40 min circut makes your defense not the last 20
