Gap 8

I face a gap 8 team this week. I see 4 down down line 2 blitzing de but olb are back 3 yards or so wats olb job do they have te?

They're just trying to make the read of the tight end  easier while making them available for plays elsewhere.

play action pass to TE also might be a good one.

Generically speaking yes.

Some just use that alignment from wt6

Yes they are man to man against the first wid eout. If no receiver they should be 5 off the line and 2 yards outside shoulder of the DE.

If you run the dw I recommend using unbalance oline and keep the guard or the tackle home on pulling. No need to pull both.

Think nasty split as well and its ok to run the power one hole wider as the Line backer wants to take c gap away. Normally the line backer is head up on your tight end.You can double the line backer with wing and tight end and kick the de with full back.

Yes I run 90% dtdw I do use unbalanced. There wide outs play on the line the 2 mlb were in middle of field and safety was back a ways. When I watch film power And wedge are there.
