Gap pressure mirror defense questions
« on: October 06, 2013, 12:41:46 PM »
So been using the Gap Man Pressure system by Robert McAdams this year.  Last two years I've use Reeds system.  I'm coaching 7th grade this year so I thought I needed a little more sophisticated system. We got beat 53-36 this last weekend. I have to run two different teams because of league rules since we have more then 22 players. I try to keep both teams competitive. I put our best player at strong defensive end and our next best player at strong inside linebacker. The problem this last weekend is they got wise and run to our weak side end, our Fred or safety is no help and our corner/sniper are no help.  Who has run this system and wha adjustments did you make? I'm thinking of putting our best defensive player at the Fred spot and at least he will be in the middle of the field. Maybe stunting the willy backer, corners more? How do we compete with a QB that can throw and wide receivers that are big and athletic?  Thanks

I'm not up on gap pressure mirror.. I'm above avg in gam

You're best football player in my eyes in the mike lb second is faster then mike bit maybe lacks size is the free safety.

Your weak side end may be an issue but you can fix that easy by flipping ends.

I never liled gam or double buddy just too many holes

Post the fronts you use and the formations they used and ill assist from there and give pointers
