Got blown out!
« on: September 22, 2013, 10:27:45 AM »
We were awful. Lost 44 - 8  On offense we fumbled 8 QB/Center exchanges. I have never had that happen. Qb was messing up pulling away too soon to avoid the defense which was killing my offensive line. They had 3 down lineman we just couldnt handle. My line consists of 2 freshman, a soph, and a 1st year player. On top of that 3 interceptions and it was a long afternoon. This was a team that was beaten by the team we beat last week. Their large offensive line - double wing - just washed our guys out of there creating seams for their running backs. Poor play on the edges too.  One corner missed two practices this week due to PSAT prep class and it showed. Poor alignment and not covering his man.  The 4 frosh starters were overmatched as well. Film review tomorrow will be quite a learning experience for them. Next opponent is solid too. Good QB who likes to 'boot' often and out of 3 different looks and they have two solid running backs.  We can stay with them if we play to our potential.

--------O-------O---------O

-----------------O

Primary offensive set but they will also use an I and some split back.
In this formation either slot will motion across formation for 'jet' sweep and also go out for pass. Fake to jet and give to RB inside and QB boot.

Go into 26 and play with auto blitz . Since qb is under center open with "crazy" unless they run jet motion then check out. Who ever fires outside the tackle is the new edge defender

I'm playing a spread team this weekend and we are going into the 10 from the 26

Front calls

Start here

-----0--0--#--0--0
--6-----2-----2-----6
-b---------m---------b

Red call

----0--0--#--0--0
--6---3---0---3---b
-b--------m

Blue is the opposite

---0--0--#--0--0
-b--3----0----3--6

Red and blue are shifts...once offense gets set

Rachel and lacy are blitzes into that

Plum call (color call)

----0--0--#--0--0
6----3----m---3---6

Secondary
------------------3--q
-----------2------------------2
---1---------------------------------1
---c-------------m----------------c
----------b------------------$
-----------------$

We always finish in special vs spread

Ends cross key for zone read...mike has #3 fs plays cover one

Ran the " color wheel" I'm goimg to call it. Shut them out 20-0.  Offense couldn't have gotten more then 10 yards total offense.
