DC Wing T 7U Championshipl season highlights
« on: February 04, 2018, 09:25:01 PM »
This is our complete 2017 season highlights excluding 2 games our first game wasn't recorded. We went undefeated and played the champs from the previous season who was also undefeated. No one had us winning we also had our doubts. The team we played ran up the score on everyone. We ran DC's Wing T as close to the book as a team this young could. In the super bowl we practiced the beast a few times before the game and ran it twice the second time was all we needed to tie and ran 24 power to take the lead and win the game. During the season we shared the ball as much as possible during the season but in the last game we had to rely on that one player that got 99% of the touches in the game and it worked for us. We tried to get other players involved but it wasn't working. But we got it done in the end. I took over as OC in our home town that never won or went to the championship. I'm normally the HC but to be able to coach where we live I had to take a back seat. I had two bad season's coaching in the county next to us in another league. I just couldn't get the recruiting numbers I needed to get it done my son wanted to play with his class mates which I tried to recruit and I gave in after much thought. I believe I made the right choice since the HC welcomed me with open arms after our first discussion. I told him we're going to the championship this season but didn't promise a win. I can't say everyone felt that way because I heard chirping especially since I run the wedge. Some people think its a gimmick play but it got the tough yards we needed all season. Here's the link its long but entertaining enjoy.

Looks like #10 was your "Go to" guy.
Congrats on the season!  Nice wedge!

For lurkers, when a runner runs left, he carries the ball in his left hand.

Actually #10 was our go to guy when the season started but he couldn't even get out of the back field vs tough and fast competition. So I had to make a change #2 who was our 2 back I made him our 3 and we probably wouldn't have done as well as we did if I didn't make that change.
