Defenses not adjusting??? Nice overload formations to play with

TEO WBO Slot 25 (Slot and WBO will be in the same spot.  I have the Slot on the Outside of the WB, so he chips the DE into the WB even more on his way to LB)

TEO 23 Cross Jet or instead of Jet WBO.  WB doesn't matter as much on Cross

WBO 38 Super PWR Toss  --- So many people running right  lol

There are tons of ways, but here's just a few that work really nicely.

We use several Slot and Slot over formations.  The Gaps are all clogged anyway, so the Slot/SO chips the DE on his way to the LB which helps the WB on FB plays and helps the FB on WB plays.

For any fairly newbies, the main key in all of this is blocking by the backs.  They have to know their responsibilities.  I tell them all of the time, that the 5 big boys up front protect the hand off and get us 2-3 yards.  The Backs #1-#6 get us long TDs.

If you don't block, you won't get the ball seems to get their attention the most.

Is all that in one play call? All the overs and such?

I used a formation tag "mega" which combo'd ..super, fb and wb on. Beyond sharing these it may be a good idea to have preset combos as 1 word for easy play calling

"Ultra"

As the season moves on, I might do that.  I say all of that still because this is the last year a coach can be on the field in this league, and even though its a mouthful, the kids know exactly where they're supposed to be.

Another advantage is, as long as the QB isn't under the center I can talk to the team.  So, when they break the huddle, the QB stays with me.  I can adjust an over call right then based on how the D is lined up, or where they moved their stud.
