Facing this defense
« on: September 26, 2011, 12:36:57 PM »
This is how I expect them to lineup based on what I saw:

                           S                  S

                C              LB     LB            C
                          E  T     N   T         E
                 0           0  0 X 0 0    0
                                     0                  0
                                0
                                     0

They lined up with their DE's really, really close to the end man on the line. The Tackles could have stepped out and gotten them. They always had the DT on the TE side line up right in the middle of the Guard & Tackle. Only 2 LB's.....and always 2 deep safeties. The corner to on the offensive left was a really good player. Made several open field tackles on sweeps to his side and didn't get fooled on reverses. Stayed home and made the tackles on those as well. D-line stood straight up. Really big kids that can't move well.

I haven't put in 20 midline but this looks like the week to do it.

Also the manual says to cross block 2 deep safeties. Would you do that when they are playing an odd front with it ?

I saw their DE's get destroyed on a couple power type motions where they didn't see the SE coming. Got leveled. But the team they played always ran this play to their left and the corner came up and made the tackle.

Any thoughts ?

On 20 midline trap tackles go in front of the guards to the LB, guards kick out DT's or OT's go outside the DT to the LB so not to collide with the guards ?

SLOT and run whatever you want
you can CROSS
Midline looks good

some other plays....

SE Over 36 Toss
BO 26 Power
Slot 24 Cross (RG get DE / RT blocks the 3 tech) Wb tracks to ILB- TE to SS
HB Over 24
38 Rocket Power - WB cracks E2 - TE to C2 - RT/RG pull to B2 and SS
Slot 23 Cross
Slot 45 Toss
Slot Pass left - maybe even the zone pass vs the 2 safeties....

Go outside.
