How do I get my TE involved?
« on: September 27, 2011, 09:26:45 AM »
Guys,

Need a few suggestions on how to get my TE involved in the offense considering the following:

1. Can't hand or pitch it to him behind the LOS due to rule constraints. He's only allowed to catch it...
2. He's got hands of stone.
3. He's the fastest kid on the team and a dangerous weapon.

We've been struggling to get him involved and we need a few ideas.  Thinking about wedge pass to TE, etc.  Pass right #1 has been tough for us to complete in practice so I'm hesitant to run it in a game.

So far we are 3-0 and have not completed anything to the TE.  If we can't get him involved soon I'm considering moving him to G....

Thanks for the help.

WB  ;)

Would love to do that but the rules won't allow him to play in the backfield. We are in a age based league (no weight limit) but he's restricted to playing on the line.

R 65 kick/ ends over L 66 kick

And

R 61 trap/ ends over L 62 trap

Add screen to those calls

If you can shift, call trade our trade call backs up te and puts wb on line, now if you can use this. Loop hole you can now use your te more

I like this but since he said they can not hand or pitch can you use these and shovel pass it?

Zippy. You're right.  He cant get the ball behind the LOS regardless of how we get it to him.

Definitely leaning toward putting him at G.  We have him at DE on defense since he's restricted to the LOS on that side of the ball also.

How about some kind of naked boot with a shuffle pass of no more than 3 yards?  Maybe we freeze the wb and have him crack the DE.

He goes both ways.  Can really get after a qb and chase down from the backside....

Gotcha.  Would be nice if I could run the old fumble rooskie :)

He's getting one more shot this week then off to RG if he drops another one.

If he can catch pre practice but cant in games he may just be a headcase, youll need to calm him down n help him play relaxed
