Somewhere I saw that WB Over is this:

            X          T G C G T     Y
                    Z        Q
                          H
                              F

And not this:

            X         T G C G T     Y
     Z                      Q
                         H
                             F

We call our WB Z. Iíve been doing the bottom formation as WB over for years. I thought I saw a thread where Clark said itís actually the top formation. I thought all over calls were going to the same spot on the opposite side of the filed. We would have called the top formation Z slot over.

I beleive the wb is still x amount of steps away from center regardless of side.

I wanna say 10-14 ...it's in the manual

You could do it either way but, if you run "23" from the top formation and they haven't adjusted you will get a double team on Will.  The manual is the top one as you can also run "26 Power" from it.

Iíve been happy so far with the install. At first it looked like a soup sandwich but with tepscwere getting our timing better. We threw in 56 reverse on the fly in a scrimmage yesterday and it looked like we had ran it 100 times before.

Weíve got 23/24, 24 counter, 33 quick, 38 toss, 47 speed, 47 toss installed. Working on getting our pulling guard timing down.
Plan to install wedge next week.

Pass?

Left that part out....we have pass right, 57 screen and 37 screen as well. Not perfected but theyíre very similar to plays weíve ran in past so itís an easy install for the kids.

Nice start in your dcwt venture

If you havent looked into already r 65 kick is amazing too and gives the TE some love

Thanks, we have it on the list. Iím thinking that once we get our pulling guards smoothed out we can install 65 easier.

If I can interject here...

I love the 65 play. I recommend that every offense have a play like this. But how I feel is a candle to the sun in terms of comparing how much the Tight End loves this play.

To that end, I always found it important to keep the TE "patient" when you run this play. The better he is at holding off just the smallest amount really helps this play, but they tend to go just a bit too fast.
Mission Statement:
To make a genuine effort at every opportunity to help those around me build and maintain a commitment to success.

Weíve got about 7 hours in for our actual install. Itís a quick teach plus itís similar to what weíve ran before so the kids get it.

Haha I bet! Thanks for the heads up, we will get to this one next week.

Any tips for drilling/teaching the pull? Iím going by what I know from past years coaching/playing and using the dcwt manual but Iím always open to new or different ways.

I'm 5.5 hours in and only have 23,24, 33 quick, 38 power toss amd 47 speed in. We've been inside a gym with only helmets. Practically no position training which starts tomorrow. I need to up my efficiency game.

I plan on rotating every non weight restricted guard at TE for this play and pass right open 1. With the hope that gets them maximally motivated.

Thatís actually really good if youíre starting from zero. Only reason weíre as far in as we are is weíve ran very similar plays/formations for 2 seasons. Plus itís an easy teach especially with the manual, dvds, and PowerPoint

Or Iím just that good of a football coach....itís one of the two  ::)
