Repeat Super Bowl Champions
« on: November 07, 2018, 08:30:29 AM »
Finished the season 10-0

Outscored opponents 330-12.  The defense gave up 6 in the 2nd quarter of the first game and 6 in the second of the finals to the same team.

1 punt and 1 turnover on downs (on the 3 yd line) all season, but 6 fumbles lost, to include 2 in the championship.  Other than those 8 mishaps,  we scored every other drive on the season.

Goombah, your version of Trips, BIG Trips, was a nice addition for the final game.  They had most of their studs on our left side, especially after a few Trips plays, so Flip BIG Trips 28 Pitch was sick.

I love this forum.  I've said it so many times.  I appreciate everyone who gives their insight and info on here, and most importantly takes their free time to spend with these kids today.  In this day and age, boys need football way more than ever.

Awesome!  Good job.  We have our SuperBowl this weekend.  We only did a little Trips in semi finals, weather conditions were not conducive to passing at all, and the way the other team was lining up, it was not going to give much help to 23/24... It was a weird defense, hell bent on protecting the edge/perimeter.  So 23 and 24 was there all day anyways.  Will be more handy this weekend I believe.

Oh yeah BIG Trips 24 Cross was a play we ran several times.  We were in some type of Trips maybe a 1/4 of the plays.  That was a huge help, so Thanks again.

Good Luck this weekend!

Also I used the Backs favorite colors and zoo animals as Audibles.

Green - TEO Slot 25 Slot Cross (its better than PWR IMO)
Lion - Slot Over 28 Pitch Freeze

Blue - LT 32 Trap
Cheetah - 38 Super PWR Toss

Orange - Slot 47 Jet Speed
Tiger - Backs Over LT 42 Trap

Red - Wedge
Mahomes Left/Right - Pass Left or Right

This helped huge right before the half with time running out,  and not having to huddle.  Plus, we practiced when I said the audible they hurry and get set as fast as possible.  Also once they're lined up, if I see the defense giving me something else it's easy to change the play.  Both sides of the field, up the middle and Pass are all available.

Methinks this should probably go into the manual. At the very least, it's going in my playbook.

Monster,

It's just yet another adjustment, and nice to have.

Run Normal Trips for a while.

Trips 57 Screen, PWR if you want

Trips 47 Jet Speed, TEO possibly

TEO Trips 17 PWR

Then hit them with

BIG Trips 24 Cross.

If they adjust, they're screwed with that Cross, if they don't they're screwed to the strong side.

I'd call that "Sneaky Trips".

24 Cross out of that is so good once they adjust to the Trips side.  TE gets LB.  2 runs thru the 4 Cross and off the TE's butt to the pylon.

I am running the trips to the left and right side of formation this weekend.  The way this team adjusted to trips last week will take their best defender and move him out to trips on the right, which will make 24 even easier.
