Trips plays

After you run Trips 37 Pwr screen these are really good

TEO Trips 17 Pwr (5 backs  blocking to that side)
Trips 18
Trips Wedge
Trips 17 38 reverse (Killer play)

All depends if they match up their players to your trips.   Run where they ain't.

I assume that's "Trips 18 Power"?

They all sound pretty good.   :)

Actually no.  These teams put their best players at DE here.  I want my TE on OLB like rules say and WB on DE (hat on a hat for their better players) and I'm willing to take the QB 1 on 1 with their CB.  That's a hard open field tackle to make.

Not a home run, but 5-30 yds every time we run it.

Our 3 back is one of the best in the league.

We just added this

Trips QB and 3 Swap Wedge 38.

HB direct snap out of wedge and the rolls fast to 8 hole.

"Power" cue.  But I would just leave the WB on the DE with instructions to go to LB only if he knocks the DE down (Which happens.).

These "Trips" plays are now included in the 2017 DC Wing T manual at about page 80 as a means attacking a "six man box".  Thanks for the post!

I was thinking about Trips again.  What about this, again you already know that they man up your trips or cheat over from your TRips 37 power screen

Trips Wing Screen

He'd have the CB to beat and that's it and run to the pylon

X      X.
    X        X. X X. X. X.  X          X
    O.          OOOOO.   O
H.     F           Q.                     W

Or......

Trips Pass Right #1 Power

WB cracks the DE to give the QB just enough time to hit the TE on his out route.   Could be deadly

One more quick note.  After Trips 17 38 reverse we also have ran Trips 47 Jet 38 reverse.

These plays are great when they don't move over.

Key point have your FB take his one step behind the SE and 2 steps towards the LT instead of his normal 1 step.  He's gotta crack the RDE or a good one will eat these plays up.  The reason I have him count from the SE still so it still looks like Trips 37  Power Screen and the defense doesn't notice one extra step

Or just "Quick to the WB".  He starts in motion a count late and then slants at the DE.  Looks like crack but it's a slant to the WB.
