Chris:  When you run 29 toss, Murphy has the wing on a 15 yd arrow route.....you said you motion the wing to the playside CB?

I motioned the wing left and lead him up on the corner. Not sure why my Hudl clips are gone.

You could always ask Hudl.  Not that they'll know why, either.  As a matter of fact, they're likely to tell you that's never happened before with any of their customers.  Ever.

You are so right. I guess when you have a monopoly customer service isn't real important.

If you rep the heck out of it they will naturally push it as far out as they are comfortable.  I stopped running it after a couple of years, like the buck sweep better and the rocket/jet can take up a lot of coaching time.

On Rocket, the toss needs to be wide.  Have the QB reverse out first for timing.  You want the sweeper catching the ball 3-4 yards deep in the backfield and just outside the DE at full speed.  Ideally you get 2 blocks and the play should get positive yards.

When I ran Flexbone, we sometimes struggled with getting the blocks on the edge for Rocket (part of that was due to a WR coach who refused

I like Buck Sweep, too, but they're different plays and accomplish different things.  Rocket is a "get your fast kid outside NOW!" fastball kind of deal, while Buck Sweep is a "kick out and cut up" sort of thing that hits slower, like a changeup.  Both are great compliments to attack a force player and work well together.

Iíve installed a very successful Rocket Swing Pass out of my DTDW which gets the ball out to the motioning WB way out to the outside with the playside WB blocking the CB. This play is a great chunk yardage play that is a really good quick hitter.

Iíve found this to be much more effective then the Rocket Toss.
