Congratulations to Clemson...

...and my boy Trevion (#1) who played 3 seasons for me.  As a senior, this was Trevion's second national championship.  He caught 2 passes tonight and leaves Clemson as having played more games for Clemson than any other wideout in Clemson history.  As talented as he is on the field, he is an even better young man.

That is pretty cool Dave. I see a couple more NCs in Clemson's near future. They have to be the favorites next year too.

I love what Dabo has going at Clemson.  Dude is a class act.

I wouldn't trade Lincoln Riley for anyone.  But Dabo is a coach I can root for.

Dude is a class act.

I know he is because honestly Trevion would not have gone to school there, otherwise.  (He had a lot of choices.)  I know Dabo catches a lot of grief about proselytizing, and "the Gospel according to Dabo" and all that, but there's nothing wrong with witnessing what you know to be true.

I don't have an issue with it as long as you practice what you preach and you don't force your beliefs on to your players (not saying he does).

I went to Clemson's clinic a few years ago right before they won their first NC under Dabo.  I can confirm that he's a class act and so is the rest of their staff.  The thing that came across the most in talking with him and listening to his talk was how much he genuinely cares for these young men.  I've pulled for Clemson ever since.

Trevor Lawrence's mother grew up near me and his grandparents still live here.  I don't know the family personally, but a lot of my co-workers do and have nothing but good things to say about him.  I'm happy for the kid.  He may leave with 2-3 more rings before it's all said and done.

Also, it's was just nice to see somebody finally take Alabama behind the woodshed like they'd been doing to other teams for years.
