A portable type ventilator... interesting concept.  Sort of like an AED, but for breathing.
Excactly my thoughts

Here in Texas we have an AED machine on every football sideline due to a player who was going to southlake had a full ride scholly to UT as a lineman, and had a cardiac arrest on the sidelines and an officer happened to be there with an AED machine in his car, player was revived and doctors found a heart defect and he couldn't play football anymore. Mack Brown honored his scholly and he helped with the OLine as a coach for four years.
Texas HS football now requires all HS football games to have one on hand.

The league I used to coach in also made a rule for all clubs to carry one as well.

I figure the Hotels can afford a one time purchase of 500-700 dollars instead of a lifeguard on duty. They probably pay that per month in just maintenance on the pool.
Public pools same thing.

I don't think I am asking for too much. I just want to put pressure on the public pools system that if you have no lifeguard you need one of these.

Robert:

My deepest condolences.  I lost my middle son in March so I can truly empathize with you.  It is very difficult to put feelings into words.   A wise man once told me that any day I can talk about him is a good day.  Indeed that concept has helped me a lot  (Thanks Mike).

Prayers to your family in this difficult time.

Scott

Love you my Brother.

I wanted to thank Mike and Gumby for their heart felt words when I was in Denver about a week ago.

The true character came out when someone is in need

My grandson (who lived in Casper Wyoming) was seven years old and knew how to swim and drowned. Some of the details leave me very angry but he was at a swim party in a hotel pool and the details are kind of cloudy how it happened but he was in the shallow end and didn't hit his head or anything. Anyway so my first born, of seven, grandkids was on life support in Denver and Mike and Gumby were there if I needed anything.
He ended up dying on November 2 and he got to be a superhero like he wanted and save a few kids life through organ donation.

Jace Tyler Ferre is 7 years old and loved playing football and drawing. He was looking forward to his first year of tackle this next coming season.

I am trying to start a foundation to get breathing machines put at every public pool to hopefully make sure this doesn't happen again.

Anyone know how to start a foundation?

So sorry to hear this. I have a granddaughter who was born with a serious condition. She has endured 7 surgeries and twice as many extended hospital stays in her short 3 years. We almost lost her last year but she was saved. She is doing much better, but at the time, I was sick to my stomach for so long as there was nothing to do but wait and pray. Knowing what I went through, I still can't imagine what you're going through, let alone his parents. I will add your family to my prayers.
