Coaches what are some of your favor blitz beaters you use when you're facing a good/solid team?

Yep...  Powers right at it!  Multiple LBs crashing means lots of room in the secondary when the RB breaks the LOS...

I love using TE dumps and quick slants too...

No Play- let them jump the snap count

Spinner BB wedges- let em run by the running back and slide off the apex of the wedge

Dump/Jump Passes to the TE off of off tackle action

Jet Sweeps

Cross Pass- Rub  a Slant/Arrow we throw it off of 1 step- hits very quick- like the slant into the vactated area- running the Safety off from backside

Smoke Screen- SE hitch screen- 1 step

However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.

block down, kick out. Sweep (especially sprint sweep with a fake dive opposite the sweep).

We used to just reverse pivot the QB and let him sweep with backs leading.  If they were blitzing, it was usually good for 10.

Also, nobody blitzes Wing T.

Nobody blitzes the wing t?  I know a ton of wing t coaches that would beg to differ on that.

That's why you probably know a "ton of wing T coaches".  They must all have a lot of wins when the other team blitzes.

It must make their day.

And, if they can't cover a blitz it's because they can't coach the OT's down block.  Wing T football books don't even cover blitzes because they can't imagine anyone even trying it.  If you can blitz a wing T team, Belleview would lose every game.  Ever seen anyone try and blitz Belleview?

I've only watched part of one Belleview game.  I watched a bunch of different wing t teams in the south and east coast.  I've watched teams blitz Delaware, Cumberland, and a number of HS and MS teams.  Highlands HS won state this year blitzing a wing t team.  Trinity did the same thing this year (of course they were also ranked as either 1 or 2 in the country).

If you can coach a system you have ways to deal with the blitz.  There are guys that are 4 wide that will say no one should ever blitz them.  The same is true for option teams.  Gap schemes and schemes that can get to the outside quickly tend to negate or slow down most blitzes.  There is also a ton of different ways to blitz or bring pressure accord
ing to the offense one is facing
