Asking the seasoned coaches - In the best years you've seen from any youth coach, how many of the kids from one single season have gone on to receive a college football scholarship?

Most DI kids I had in 1 year was 2, both Offensive Linemen to Ohio University

The IAA- not big around here
The DII- are usually partials- some VERY partial. They split them up and share with 75-80 kids etc- Hard to count those, dont have a clue how much they are getting, $500 or $3,000 etc

However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.

1 from the same team is tops for me for football as far as I can remember. I did coach a team that had 2 kids get D1 sholarships as baseball players.

Collect moments, not wins.

I coached one kid who ended up being player of the year in the state his senior year.

He is still in college, NAIA getting about a $2,000 a year scholarship.

I have also coached a handfull of kids who walked on at the NAIA level but never stuck it out long enough to play a down of college ball.

I have been coaching since 1989 that is my list in 23 years of coaching.

Less than 1 percent of kids playing sports gets a D1 scholarship.

I have the breakdown somewhere.
