The post or bang 8. Never really been a fan of it, but seeing how 4 verts has gone in without a hitch and times up well with 3 step from the gun for us.....a post by the backside single WR in trips looks to be $$$ vs 1 high or 2 high.

What are some coaching points on throwing the post/bang 8 from a 3 step in the gun?

Thanks

This depends on where the ball is. Let's start middle of the field. A single side Post we run from the top of the numbers, an inside stem to stack the C. Break at 7 & don't cross the hash. QB takes a short 3 & throws as flat as he can leading the receiver on the hash.

Boundary Single WR to the near post.

Field single don't break the hash.
