Yao,

I think against that line up, you can run a G play with your QG kicking the DE, and the QT and QTE doubling that inside LB.  Or if your SG can move, run it as a counter trap against the DE, with your QTE, QT and QG accounting for the LB and DT.

You can run it to your FB on a quick count, with your quickside WB kicking that CB.  You can also quick count it and have your QB just spin and follow the FB - that gives you an extra lead blocker through the hole.  Personally, that's what I would run if the QB can run at all.  It would be a devastating play against that defense.

You could also, as a last resort if you don't like your FB or QB in space, run it with regular counter action to the strong side WB.  Same blocking as above - either QG or SG kicking the DE, depending on talent.

If you use your QG, have your SG either fold around the C to pick up that crabbing DT, or have your C fall on him, and have your SG and ST combo that DT into the ILB to seal him.

Bottom line is it's a footrace between their safety and your runner.

Saw this this weekend

Inside tackles would crab to kill wedge.  BSDE would crash hard.  PS defenders would crash under the WALL.  Gave us fits, only had 3 positive offensive plays, 2 Wedges for 7, when the DTs forgot to crab and a Counter Cutback for a 65 yd TD.

I need a play to attack that backside B Gap.  What would you suggest?

I take it you only had the kind of linemen you needed to TKO one side of the formation?  Were you showing "FB Over" in your base previously or did you shift him over due to the '6" tech T?

Because it looks to me like they were ready for you to go to both "WB On" and "Tackle Over" as well.  It looks like they've got more horses than they need to get behind the wall but stacked them over there in the expectation you'd add more kickout blockers using JJ Lawson's calls.

I can WALL both ways, I just can't pull both ways.  Put in some stuff to answer that backside bubble last night.  Caught us off guard, but we'll be ready next time.

We go WB ON & Tackle OVER together and they were ready for that too.  Had a great game plan.
