Clark cover this ... we been working this for a few weeks

o               o   o   x   o   o             o
                                     o
                           o        o
                                     o

Man, I like that. I can see a lot of possibilities. If defense shifts, you can pull those two lead backs across the formation and give it to the last man.  Or send all 3 across and keep with the qb behind them. Possibilities with the passing game out of it with screens and such. Hmm.. takin notes. lol

Its close to beast this way,  like it as well.

               o   o   x   o   o  o           o
                                     o
                           o        o
                                     o

I'm a sell-out! This year I finally committed 100% direct snap and I doubt I will go back under center. My current offense is DW blocking scheme (DO-DOR rules) with multiple formations that include UBDW, UB Spread, Beast, & Bear .

"Holy Sh*t" is a fair description.  When too many coaches didn't have the talent to even "stone" a TE I began to look at other solutions.  Although four coaches responded that they made the playoffs (80% of respondents), I actually think 11 coaches were running the system.  Four out of eleven making the playoffs is totally unacceptable.  I now understand the problem (They didn't just only have 2.5 studs but a bunch of MPP's as well).  And, having failed to account for MPP's unable to stone and OLBer's unable to contain, I have adjusted the defense to accomodate just two studs (Mike is no longer a stud - he's just BIG) and two MPP's.  What you have is my second attempt at a solution (the second being better than the first as I adjusted it to defending spread on the second try).  There may still be a third version but I doubt it will be much different than this.  I believe I am onto something.  The base package defends spread, "I", split backs, UBSW, DW, and option and with no sideline calls.  There are three sideline calls which I did not send you, figuring the base should defeat anything you face.  Two of those calls are used on third and long and the other on fourth and long.

While still mantaining Lombardi's principalds, lurkers cannot even imagine everything this updated defense covers on paper.  If it does it on the field too, a great many recent youth offensive innovations will be sent back to the Stone Age.  I'm glad you spotted the "Holy Sh*t!" aspect of it because, while you may have limped into your playoffs, you could just smash your way to the championship game.

You're my guinea pig!   ;)

Good luck!

Clark,
you state that mike is no longer a stud in the above thread, are you still talking dc pro 43 or killer bees? I really like the pro 43 but am a little concerned about the mike position and this may be the answer i am looking for.

He's your third fastest tackler.  I stated he was BIG but that's not as important as being your third fastest tackler.

unless I overlooked it I'm not sure if this was part of the 4-3 or the new killer bee

It is the "Killer Bee".

The "Killer Bee" is a combination of four different defenses.  Many who see it would think it was Jack Gregory's "6-3" on steroids and with the brains removed.  Others would see it as Tom Landry's "Flex II" while still others would identify it as a simple, modern day, NFL Zone.  Or you can think of it as a WT6 brought 70 years into the future.  It's really all of them.

Why run Iso when you outnumber the defense 8-5 on that side of the ball? 18 QB SWEEP!
