Wedge pass
« on: August 15, 2011, 02:06:02 PM »
has anybody ever run a Wedge Pass that throws a swing pass to the WB?

We run XX action behind our wedge with the QB ultimately faking a drop back.  I was thinking to add in a Wedge Pass where the WB's run the XX action, then open for a swing pass in the flat.

We run a wedge pass but to the TE not the Wing, I have found that swing passes are very hard to complete at that level.

sneak your TE out of the wedge on a little seam route and it's money.

Or a shallow cross.  It's like handing the ball over the wedge.  Might be able to rub off the umpire too.

This-
Can be big play
Safe
Low risk
High  reward
Easy to execute
MUCH better choice than swing
Ive run it in real life out of SW and it is a good play to invest time in
