Season's over.  We lost yesterday 20-0.  The score is more brutal than the game was.  All the scoring came in the second quarter when we had to cycle through our MPP.  The other teams was really good and ran the Maryland I to our weak side and our will just could not get over in time causing us to be out numbered at the point of attack.  Kid played their hearts out.  Jr. Titan, thanks for putting together the write up on the defense.   To all those that provided feedback thanks to you also.

Sorry about the loss coach.  We play a Maryland I, straight t team on Wednesday in the semis, that beat us 28-6 two weeks ago.

We had a numbers problem at poa as well, so we've really been working the safety on attacking downhill on full flow.  He was kinda hanging back in the first game.  Will be a tough game, but I'm feeling good about our chances.

Won first round playoff game yesterday 43-6.  Gave up 1 first down and they scored on a ko return.  Not much to say, just had them outmanned and overpowered.

What is it about that Maryland I, we played a team that gave us fits with it also...

I think we should have gone to the 60 front and brought the Bandit down to the LOS.  That would have left a defender on the LOS without a blocker and allowed him to squeeze the backfield.  As it was, our Bandit would get there but our will would be late.   They ran a toss out of it also that really stretched us.  Once we got accustomed to it we were able to shut it down but it was painful.

Our safety played soft also and that made a difference.   I do need to give the team we played respect.  They were absolutely a fully loaded stacked team.  We are a homegrown team so I am proud of our kids and how they played.  It is tough playing one of those "all star" teams.  But we had our chances - two dropped passes in the end zone, three missed throws on deep crosses, 2 wheel routes that were inches away.  If we connect on half of those we win the game.

Well, lost in semifinals 46-20 last Wednesday to the team that wound up as undefeated champions.  Not much to say, too many big plays given up.  Didn't get off the field on 4th downs and 2 turnovers in our first five snaps made a tough task almost impossible.

Ended up 6-3, with 2 losses against this team.  4 shutouts.

Time to take a few weeks off to refresh and then get ready for offseason study.
