I want to get more of a triple option look. I would like to use the diamond formation and run the maxi 33/44 quick traps and have the QB and 3 or 4 back (whoever is not getting the ball) run the option fake. Then come back and run the fake quick trap option.

Need to get better at passing to the left. We completed 90% to the right but not a single pass left last season.

Also would like to add left 32 trap

Ya with one team I think I should have the time to do it....after cramming 2 hours of practice with two teams on the field it should be easy to install tons of plays with one right ? At least in theory.

We'll have a contest to see who installs it first. I plan on putting it in right after 23.

This, of course, assumes I have a team.  ::)

We put in Left 32 trap and HBO R 31 trap, but after watching more film I should have run them A LOT more.  They were money almost every time I ran them (after pounding with 23 and HBO 24 a few times).  Thinking about putting in a fake left 32 trap, 15 or 17.  Anyone try something similar?

If that worked, I would think you are running Left 32 Trap waaaayyyy too much.    :D

I think the QB would find there are still a lot of defensive players where he wants to run.

I had the same thoughts, BUT it has the same characteristics to my mind as the Bobby Dodd series (could have WB run option pitch route on my made up play too).  At the younger levels, i've found that just creating confusion of who has the ball can work quite well.  Also, the timing wouldn't be much different than 23 Lead.  I've already run fake 23, 17 and fake 24, 18 w/ good success the last 2 years.  Not saying I'm right, just throwing it out there!

So for teams who have run left 32 trap the goal is to get the LB's to bite on the fake pitch to the HB and he then cuts behind the pulling left guard correct ?

Also like R 21 trap if you run 38rocket or option well
