Giants @ 49ers
« on: January 20, 2012, 08:03:22 AM »
I love this match up!  I am a big Giants fan and feel that the Offensive Line for both teams are key for this game (Like when it is ever not!!).  But if either QB is able to pass the ball without getting pounded into the ground will win this game.  I do think the Giants have the upper hand in this match up with the way they have been playing.  Great D against a Great O and a Good D against a Good O...

All I know is there is going to be a lot of hitting!  I hope it brings back memories of the games in the 80's.

I believe Giants will win, but I got both NFC games wrong last week.

Don't worry... I had both of them right!

That might mean I get both games wrong this week.

I was very surprised how well the 49ers D played vs the Saints.

I say that's the difference again. 49ers in a close one.

I am a total NYG fan. If we can hold on to the ball and keep turnovers 2 or less we win by 14. I hope the special teams play smart and do not return anything against the 49er's special teams, those guys are on a mission.

They already played once.  Manning threw for over 300 yards and they still lost.

Both teams are hot.  Manning converted a lot of 3rd and longs last week.  It will be tough to repeat that.

I think it will be close, but I like SF at home.  Probably will come down to who can make the fewest big mistakes.

I would like either the Giants or Patriots to win though, a SF/Ravens Superbowl is not very appealing to me.  Not enough offense and will probably look like the CFB championship game.

I say Patriots and SF both win.  If they come through injury free, I like Patriots to take it all.  Though I can't say for sure, a really good defense usually beats a really good offense.

Giants is the most balanced team BUT you never know when they can shoot themselves in the leg(pun). Both teams will put so much pressure but Giants been through it before 17-14 Giants!

Good win for Gmen, but noway would i have had a rook fielding kicks in that situation. Or he would be told to fair catch after his last fumble. Idk as long as the Pats lose.

San Frans defense was absolutely amazing, the Giants defense, ....did they stop the 49ers on every third down attempt? wow.....but...injuries can change a game, losing ted ginn jr meant a new punt returner....two botches there and its a L...shame for the 49ers,. an amazing team.

One thing though, I think we can see why singletary was trying to fix #85....two personal fouls.
