I think I COULD get the BSG to the DE in time to kick on power, but that's with foot to foot splits and hard down blocking (TKO), so we're running almost to the B gap. Doesn't make sense to do that, but I think we could.
That said, we try to get the BSG out on the CB running power sweep, and it rarely happens, the ball beats him. While our BSG is a FB, he's rarely as fast as the guy we run on sweeps, so the ball carrier ends up by him just past the C gap. So basically, I'd have to agree - anything more than zero splits and any play run to wide C gap, and the BSG isn't getting there...
