More players at the point of attack was my whole focus in last years scheme and I would say it would have worked better if the HB didn't out run the blockers. I did my best to have him be patient. On my power plays we pulled PSG and had TE, FB and WB (along with the HB on a keeper) all hit the same area.
It was pretty much designed as follows:
TE release DE and get onto PSOLB
PSG crush DE
FB first unblocked man he sees
WB take out the Corner
HB gone (once this kid was in open space, he couldn't be touched)
My main issues were the QB would suck the HB in and the kids didn't hold their blocks long enough.
... and of course I should have abused the HB more, but I wanted to spread the ball around.
