Coaches what are some of your favor blitz beaters you use when you're facing a good/solid team?

In the DW..

1) as JJ stated..tight splits....block down/kick out hit the hole to daylight..ala POWER (WB/QB/BB).  Blitzing tight splits makes the power game easier; so much so that teams that put eleven on the LOS against us get away from it really fast and that has been a consistent reaction for about fifeteen season.

2) For me what is more important to realize is what not to run:  anything that takes a bit of time to develop...  REVERSES/COUNTERS or slow developing PLAY ACTION pass that doesn't move the passer to the edge.

3) UNCOVERED PASSING GAME is always viable if the slot defender is a blitzer and is not accounting for a SLOT receiver in space.

4) POWER PASS is viable as long as the edge can be blocked and sealed off long enough to allow the PASSER to get to the perimeter and throw the ball to the LOW READ ASAP.

5) POWER SWEEP for the same reason above. In both 4) and 5) the reason being if they are blitzing and you get them blocked that means there is a receiver wide open in space and all of the defenders are caught up in the trash that the tight line splits and angle blocking creates.

We ran a quick screen out of our Bunch formation. 1 step drop by the QB and throw to WB.
And also a TE Rocket Sweep to get to the outside and not allow LBs to make a play.

---------T-G-C-G-T----FB-RWB-TE------
------TE----QB-------------LWB----------

Here is my shift into Bunch formation to give a better idea.

We played a heavy blitzing team last season...but it was a weird front...2 down lineman and a bunch of LB's. They blitzed 2 of the LB's every play. We wedged the snot out of them and the came out of that look pretty quickly...moving 3 of the LB's to the line...

toss pass
go on 2
no play
tight splits (Im amazed at how many teams constantly blitzed the A gap only to get cut down, or charge up field stumbling penetrating over backside A gap only to watch running back run upfield, or just plain ole ran into the wall of congestion created by no splits and the angle block)

the harder question to ask, which there are answers to but not all of them work all the time, is what to do with a hard crashing defense on C gap (7 tech).
