Just some thoughts.

In youth ball when you go to the shotgun do you have your QB standing upright or do you think he would be better off crouched ala UBSW? possibly have the RB crouched beside him to take a direct snap and hit the hole faster in the running game? maybe even some spinner action? The TE could signal if the edge is open and the RB could receive the snap and run to the 7 as the QB spins and rolls out to the trips side faking the pass. I will be running the UBSW this season but i am still-- contemplating -- a "Shoot" package for when we play teams who are stron up front but put their mmps in the secondary.

I don't think this is something that you can just put in. You can toy with it, but it's going to take up a huge amount of your practice time. An interesting variation would a spread single wing RS, but it would compromise the concepts behind both.

EGCGTT........SE
............F.................W
...Q.T

The pass blocking would be interesting. You'd need to roll out every play. Or you'd need to switch the Q and the T and have him block the side with the TE.

I think a R&S team could make this work, but I don't necessarily think a SW team wants to do this.

For this it would be the regular R&S trips formation no unbalanced line

With the unbalanced line you have a wall of two people to keep people from penetrating through. You may even create confusion because it looks so ordinary with the standard C.G.T.TE look on the right.

However, I do like this look:

TE..T..G..C..G..T...................SE
............................S.............................F
..........H...Q

As a base. You'd have a lead blocker on every play. It solves the problem of no FB. On throws, you'd just have the HB take a fake hand off. You could run a power in each direction. You could even be more creative and just have two QBs. You can do options and counters and counters. I like the possibilities.

I was thinking something like this, The snap is direct to either the QB or the RB. On a inside run the QB will spin and sprint right like he is passing as the RB hits the hole hard inside.

We could even do this, back hits faster and has a great kickout angle on the DE. only setback is the Back cant see the QB signal for him to go in motion.
