If you run DW? Then Orlando. You know, because DP will be there.

Depends.  The USA Football clinic is more geared to youth ball.  The Glazier may only have 2 or 3 youth-specific clinics. (Not that you can’t get something of value from the high school-oriented speakers.)  But check the itinerary and decide.

Youth topics, IMO, are rarely worth going to unless someone can vouch for the presenter.  Most of the time, the youth topics seem to get hijacked by 2 or 3 well meanings guys that ask a bunch of really dumb questions and one guy who is adversarial.  If they are not a strong presenter, they allow it to happen.

That’s any presenter, youth or otherwise.

I have only experienced it with the youth guys.  But I am pretty picky with who I was going to with non-youth topics.  Could not be picky with the youth guys since there was only one youth option available.

Which is an issue with Glazier clinics.  There are a LOT of guys who coach youth ball that I'd pay to see.  But they usually schedule only one youth-topic speaker, and even then he's usually a high school coach.  It's like Glazier reaches out to high school coaches and then asks if they're willing to do a youth topic.  I've been far more disappointed with high school coaches addressing youth topics than youth coaches addressing youth topics.

I agree, I do not understand having someone with only HS coaching experience presenting youth topics.  Of course the one youth coach I went to was presenting on DCUBSW, but it turned into one coaching trying to trouble shoot the 3 back snap the whole time.  Half the room wanted to punch the guy, the other half was picking their nose.

Glaziers vary from city to city. The Orlando thing is very different from a Glazier.

I know of 2 guys that have given quality youth presentations. One is a poster here. The other is retired. For now.....We'll see if he pops back up. The rest of the youth presentations, skip em. Find a topic with the the hs guys that involve technique or management. Unless you can find somebody running your same scheme skip the scheme ones. Unless it is a proven speaker. Then go see that guy over and over, you will get something from those guys regardless.

Coach Rob , the only reason why I'm going to Olando this year is a chance to sit down with Dave potter for a couple of hours,  and get some valuable pointers on his blocking schemes and what ever he is willing to share with us ! My son and I are looking forwarded to it.

This ^^

I seldom attend youth sessions.  I end up feeling the way a nurse probably feels listening to a doctor talk about how to draw blood.

The longer I coach, the more I'm mostly interested in new drills and techniques.  Thinking about Glazier after seeing schedule.  Eager to see Phil Longo among others.  I'd never heard of him before a few years ago and was intrigued to see through some osmosis I'd arrived on my own at many of his same techniques.

Bill, I'll share whatever I have that you think can help.
