I can try and answer any questions you have.

First off Welcome to the board coach,  and thank you very much for the offer  I appreciate it , but i dont have any questions really, however our other coaches here most likely will though, and  I thank you in advance for anything you could offer them.

 5 years ago I wouldve been all over that offer as I loved that scheme, and NOONE up here runs it ,  but what info I was given was like pulling teeth to get, there were LONG periods of time in between what little I was given... it just turned me off, so I gave up on it.

IF you have a playbook, or something that may be a different story, as Im a clollector of all those rare schemes, but I already have the free one on the net

If you have something interesting along those lines feel free to PM me

and again thank you for offering to share info

why type of blocking scheme would you use for this at the youth level?

In the 200 series i would only run 234 and 228 which is mainly base blocking with double teams.
For the 300 series you can run all the traps (333, 332) with base blocking, 349 is the sweep you put in first. that would be the only play where you pull.. the QG and SG.

I hope this helps. i've never coached youth before so im not sure what to expect. haha

I'm putting it in at youth this year and bits and pieces for 8th grade.

But at youth, I'm going with 234/236, 349, 333 and 8HR. Not sure about 228 yet and 328 is a possibility, although with 328, I may do it out of a trips look and double wing look.

at the 8th grade level you may want to consider running 3-2-8 with no motion.. Thats the second hardest thing about the play is the timing. id much rather run 8hr.

Are all the plays spoken with a pause (3-2-8) or is it a coaching preference?

Reading the names of these plays and trying to picture them is like watching a foreign film without sub titles and my eyes closed, lol.

its because 328 sounds like 228 in the heat of battle haha. 3-2-8 you have to pronounce onc number at a time.

Its not so bad once you get a grasp on each series.

First number is play series (blocking scheme and backfield action)
Second number = called back off his backfield paths.
Last number is the running lane.

Last season with my 8-9 year olds running DCWT I called plays like RED 24.  All RED meant was the backfield action so the youngins would not forget.  The first number pretty much does the same thing.

red = right
blue = left
silver = speed blocking by the HB and FB

This is Coach Luna of the (Donna Raiders) been a while and notice this post...... I am surprised with the post and feel good that the games were noticed....... I have informed the kids and they were surprised too... Its been a while since running the offense.... With new kids new problems and had to adjust to what they were capable of doing, that year of the videos was the last year I used the offense.
This upcoming season going back to it and with a new group of kids I will need to find a QB that will be able to run the offense...........
