3 kids that I coached against are having real good years at Nebraska this year
Andy Janovich from Gretna was the leading rusher 2 weeks ago, Chris Weber from Elkhorn led a game in tackles at LB and the Dzuris kid from Plattsmouth has been making some noise at DE
However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.

My original group is just coming of age now.  Currently 1 is the #1 receiver in the nation.  I'd say coaching across multiple sports, about 3 will sign D1 football scholarships.  Probably 40+  from our county.

My kids are just sophomores now, and a few of them are lighting things up at the Varsity level, I suspect that they will play ball in college, not sure at what level...
None of them suck, they just haven't found what the kid is good at yet.

One kid I coached a little, who played for Joe last year, got a scholarship to a JUCO and should be in D1 soon. Next year will be the first year that I will have a player that I coached directly and he now lives in DL's neck of the woods and is ranked the number 1 WR in the state. I expect him to get quite a few offers. He is the most athletically gifted player I have ever coached.

I've got one who is a senior who is being recruited by many of the biggest schools in D1, visit by Urban Meyer.  Undecided.  A couple of others going to smaller D1 schools.  That's the first group I coached.  I'd almost be willing to wager that at least 2 from the group I just coached will end up D1.  Hard to tell when they're only 12 though.

Have produced 4  1000 yard rushers in my 4 years here. All are division III kids.

Might have a lineman move to division II after playing center at Juco level this year.  All the kid talks about is playing center against GMC.

Late to this party...

I have one kid I coached in 8th grade on a full ride/starting as a freshman at Boston College, one on scholarship at Central Connecticut and one playing DIII, (All League as a freshman). I was lucky to have been associated with those young men.

Finally seeing kids I've had moving out of HS. My first group that I coached graduated in 2015.

One kid is in prep school for football, can play FCS/D2, but wants BCS.  Might get there.

One kid at a JC - if he can get his sh*t together academically, he can play D1 FCS. He didn't play for me, but played all the way through our program.

One kid made the team as a non-recruited walk-on at D1 FCS school as a long snapper. Was a center for me at 8 years old.  Oh, yeah, he's my son, LOL.

Another is graduating this year and going to a D2 school to play football, don't think he got any money. Not sure if he's a recruited walk on or not. He's got a shot as a S.

So no - nobody that "signed" D1. But a few playing at the next level.

And there are a couple of D1 track kids that came out of our football program. One sprinter, one decathlon/pentathlon.

I heard one of players I have coached in the past is getting some serious looks. He plays for the school Joe coaches at.
