YES, Pistol & Ace

Got our new head coach about 6 weeks ago and things are going very well.Work outs mornings and afternoon mon-thru,then catch and throw for 1.5 hrs Sunday afternnons with centers.Best part he is a Pistol and Ace Coach when he sent me the PB I about jumped thru the ceiling lol. It will ran grades 3rd-12th,just dumed down for the little dudes.

Here is all I can share.The 2 formations are not our base just a couple of many.  ;)

Seams similar to what we do. Gun & Pistol lots of variations in formations.

Are you using different personnel groupings?

Coach I,ll share with you later,yes  it,s very familar if not almost identical ,just glad to see something I,am very familar with,the rest is the terminoligy.Personnel, 10,11,12,,some 21.

as far as I know its the number of backs and tight ends...so a 32 is 3 backs and 2 tes.

oh I just read link...I think I was right ish? ...numbering the personnel packages isn't something we have ever done, or had a use for...I could see the defensive coaches needing to identify packages.

Personnel groupings are everything for us. Each package has a different use, this usually isn't the case in Youth Football because of roster size. First day of Spring Practice we had 160 players on the field. Now granted 50 of them have no business being on the field, but that leaves 110.

Its also helpful to use this verbiage when coaching the Defense...when the kids get a bit older....the little dudes have a hard enough time remembering DL techs.
